A Christmas Present for the American People?
This "gift" is like someone giving me a new car that I don't need, that is not as reliable or full featured as the car I currently have, and is more expensive to boot. Add to that the fact that I have to make the payments forever (along with my kids and their kids). To put a bow on top, I also have to help buy a Lexus for everyone in Nebraska.
I say "Bah Humbug" to this gift. I'll take a gift receipt and a 30 day return policy please!

Twas the Night before Christmas 2009
All the creatures were stirring, even Harry Reid the louse.
The earmarks were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Barry soon would be there.
The progressives were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And Pelosi with her Botox, perched high on Rahm's lap,
Had long ago lost their brains for a long winter’s nap.
When out on the Mall there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear
But a small motorcade with a stretch limo in the rear.
With a single lone passenger, so powerful and scary,
I knew in a moment it must be St Barry.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!
"Now Durbin! now, Boxer! now, Feinstein and Harkin!
On, Conrad! On, Baucus! On, Schumer and Al Franken!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now pass away! pass away! pass away all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, they bribed on the sly.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of Entitlements, and St Barry too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and cawing of each little goof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St Barry came with a bound.
He was dressed in Armani, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were not tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of new Taxes he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.
He was not chubby or plump, a big eared young elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had everything to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
He emptied our savings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
After flipping me the bird, up the chimney he rose!
He sprang toward the Capitol, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew leaving me in a pickle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
"Government Healthcare for all, and to hell with the Right!"

New York Times Layoffs 1 Week Before Christmas
I guess basing their target audience on the MSNBC cable audience didn't deliver results - I am shocked.

I say that we encourage every concerned citizen to send each of their representatives a Coffee Cup, with a message inside from http://www.newreaganrevolution.com/ reminding them who they work for and why what they're doing will destroy our country.
Each coffee cup will say, "Reagan was right then ... and he's STILL right today!" Inside each cup will be the text of Reagan's talk from his seminal AMA LP record from 1961.
Imagine - what would Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi do with 1,000 Reagan-themed coffee mugs?
How it works:
- Look up the shipping address of your Representative or Senator and save it.
- Senate Addresses
- House Addresses - Visit New Reagan Revolution Storefront on Amazon.com to order your coffee cup.
- Order cups one at a time, not several at once.
- FOR THE SHIPPING ADDRESS, ENTER THE ADDRESS OF YOUR ELECTED OFFICIAL.
- Repeat as many times as you like until all the representatives you want to get the message are included.
- If you like it, don't forget to order one for yourself or a liberal friend.

The BLACK RIBBON Offensive
Spread the word to everyone you know! It matters not whether you are a Tea Party person, a 9/12er, an activist, or just an everyday citizen and patriot – this is an event for all! You’ve all seen the yellow ribbons tied around trees, on car antennas, and the ribbon magnets on the rear of vehicles supporting our troops. And, you’ve probably all seen pink ribbons worn or displayed in support of breast cancer research. Well, to put a new twist (and color) on an old idea we have created "The BLACK RIBBON Offensive".
The BLACK RIBBON Offensive is intended to send a message to the biased Main Stream Media and to reveal just how many Americans are sick and tired of the journalistic malpractice exercised daily by the national (so-called) news media organizations.
Imagine thousands, even millions of BLACK RIBBONS tied around trees, mailboxes, car antennas, radio and tv antennas, satelitte dishes, sign posts, light posts, fence posts, etc. all across this nation…to MOURN the death of true journalism in America and as a sign of protest against the BIASED main stream media.
Even better yet, imagine citizen patriots (who live and/or work on the streets next to biased media outlets) flooding their properties with BLACK RIBBONS (on trees or objects in their yards) that these media employees will have to drive by and see every day on their way to work!
Or how about sending (by the thousands) letters full of nothing but BLACK RIBBONS to the newsroom chiefs of the major networks and national daily papers? And, if you have a local media outlet that is particularly negligent in the area of fair and balanced journalism, you could "BLACK RIBBON certify" them and create a local campaign alongside this national one.
BLACK RIBBON Certification – a "we the people" certification that identifies a media outlet that is grossly biased.

Stop The Presses! CBS Uncovers the Obvious
CBS Catches Up with Conservatives and Realizes Obama Has 'Credibility' Problem
Long after conservatives and the American people figured it out, CBS on Monday night came to the realization President Barack Obama has a “credibility” problem fueled by the “disconnect” between Obama's promise to reduce the deficit as he pushes for massive new spending. Back in August, the CBS Evening News denigrated the town hall questioners as “unruly protests,” but on Monday reporter Chip Reid warned:
"The American people are increasingly questioning the President's credibility. He says the stimulus has saved or created 640,000 jobs, but only seven percent of Americans believe it has created any. And he's repeatedly promised health care reform will not increase the deficit, but a mere 19 percent believe him."Duh
Reid proceeded to relay how CBS News analyst John Dickerson “says for many Americans there's a basic disconnect -- a President who promises to trim the budget but only seems to want to spend and spend.”Duh!
Reid noted how “highly respected foreign policy analyst Leslie Gelb” called Obama's just-completed Asia trip “'amateur hour' for failing to get deals locked in before the President left home.”What is "Duh" in Mandarin?
Katie Couric set up the story by asking: “Is the honeymoon over? Though President Obama has been in office less than a year, many Americans are growing disenchanted with his handling of the enormous problems he and the country are facing -- from unemployment to health care to Afghanistan.”Way to catch a clue Katie. You are so perceptive - ever consider a career in Journalism?

Portland, Oregon - Hot Air Tour Stop to welcome Al Gore to town
Hot Air Tour Stop, The People’s Republic of Portland, Oregon
Jeff Reynolds
Chairman, Multnomah County Chapter
Americans for Prosperity
A large crowd turned out after work hours on a Wednesday evening to give a Patriotic welcome to Al Gore, Chief Anthropogenic Global Warming Alarmist. Here in River City, a visit by such a luminary is a big deal. The fact that there was opposition was an even bigger deal, and caused the full onslaught of media to descend and provide coverage.
Americans For Prosperity (www.americansforprosperity.com) saw an opportunity to make a prominent statement in a very blue state, and took full advantage. The program featured Tim Phillips, President of Americans for Prosperity, and Jeff Kropf, State Director of AFP Oregon (http://myafpor.org). Other speakers also included Richard Burke and Matt Evans of AFP Oregon, Jeff Reynolds, Chairman of the Multnomah County Chapter of AFP, Thomas Hann of We The People, Atmospheric Scientist Chuck Weiss, PhD, Dave Candlish of Oregon Patriots, and Todd Wynn of Cascade Policy Institute. This dynamic and educational program encouraged the crowd (and the viewers at home) to question the junk science of Mr Gore as well as the monumental effects on the economy that would be wrought by Cap and Trade.
Organizers estimated that around 400 people attended the rally. Grassroots activists showed up from as far away as Lincoln City, Bend, Olympia and Seattle. About 40 people attempted a counter protest across the street, but were generally drowned out by spontaneous chants of “Al Gore Lies!”
The rally was remarkable for its loud but peaceful tenor. Even between rival groups, activists maintained law and order. Furthermore, the rally was far from antagonistic or pessimistic. Characteristic of the National Health Care House Call on Nov 5, The Sept 12 Rally in DC, the Tax Day Tea Parties across the nation, and the rest of the patriotic rallies held to resist the advance of statism in our government, the Hot Air Tour Stop was marked with optimism and hope for a better future that comes with a return to a Constitutional Republic. There was no ugliness to this crowd, just a group of people concerned about each other and concerned about the future of the country they love.
Across the street, the best illustration of the opposition was the observation that in the lobby, there were tables and tables stacked to the rafters with nothing but books by Mr. Gore, which he had absolutely no intention of coming out to sign. The message was clear – this evening, for him, was far more about profiteering over a manufactured crisis than it was about the truth.
